Y'arma - Darksiders by Lupus-deus-est Y'arma - Darksiders by Lupus-deus-est
This is my envisioning of the end of the world in my mind.
Every skull contains a miniature world, a retranslation of that around us. I am not the first to raise the question of whether or not we are simply in another's mind, with them in a truer world than this copy.

Full view very much recommended!

Instead of the end of the world, I see this as the method the Demons use to Transport to Earth. I mean, in the first game the crawl out of the portals in the ground; it's gotta take a huge setup like this one here to power such a thing.

That's the impression I got, at least. Very brilliantly done!!

And thank you! :D

It's pretty, but it takes forever to show in full mode!
i couldn't see any skulls, but that's ok.

I like the lighter versions- easier to see :)

I'm tempted to make another smaller-preview copy available to dialup users (and slower internet peoples...)
No, no skulls... I have an idea in that regard, but it is rather difficult to render a skull in Apophysis. In saying that, I have the basics, but it will take considerable time.

well your basics are pretty amazing!
yeah- I'm basically wi-fi ing off the motel main frame and it does get slow at times- a real bugger at times, but better than not being able to get on at all.

My primary render of the skull turned out kind of grainy... hmmm...

what about smudging abit prior to save- may distort the grain a tiny bit? (just a thought)

maybe.. and i really hope that the world will never end..but there are happining many things in the nature...what tells us.."This is going to hell real fast"

you know? Everything has a a reason...my father told me: If you find an answer .. they change the question.

hope you understand me T_T

I think also that perhaps we should view the "end" of the world not as an end but as a beginning... perhaps our little planet gets whacked until it simply becomes interstellar medium; the similar would also happen should Sol have a few issues :) and of course from the ISM comes... everything else.

never mind ^^ thats cool o_O
hmm see it as a "beginning"? possible..but do you think you and i will be still alive? Or must we pay with our lives/tommorows? but why should the end must come to understand that there must be some changes? The Humans...included myself..are thinking maybe so->"What can i do? So if the other dont care..why should i care about the world? It dont make any sense..cause on my own i cant help the world"

(sry for my bad english but i tried to explain how i think T_T)

That's ok! Have you seen [link] ?
Just recall that whilst we eat plants, plants eat us.
And what is life but a lucky combination of molecules? Little leaps of electricity, and the emission and absorption of chemicals, shapes who and what we are. When all the little Lego pieces that made us go back into the box, where are we? Are we in the Lego box? Or are we out of the Lego box?
We are put on this earth to try our best. Those that follow a god, or many gods, believe some translation of that fact. Those who do not follow a power may view it as a purpose we give ourselves. To try our best is to make all happy. Our species' survival is the genetic goal. Combine these two, and we strive to make tomorrow better.
(That's ok; I think weirdly so it all makes sense in the end :P)

Yeah i already watched it...you send the link in your last post.^^
Well..its awesome. I never thought in that way. If i understand it right, she talks about Infinity...maybe we humans cant imagine more than we can. Its really unbelievable..woaw.
Sometimes i think...if there is anything.. for what we can find a reason..than we believe in special power of god. Dont understand me wrong..but long time ago..someone told me that many things we didnt knew before are written in the quran.Im not sure..if it can be.Maybe we already could know many answers but we search wrong?

(Omg my english T_T)

Oops :P
I was raised in a Christian family, but when I was about 12 my mother said, "You will never truly follow a religion unless you explore and come back to it of your own free will. Go off and decide for yourself whether you want to be a Christian." So I did.
I read every book I put my hands on. I ended up becoming an atheist, but I have always found the Quran fascinating. Out of all the holy books I read, it seemed the most pure. I've also found the Islamic military jurisprudence possibly one of the most honorable to be found. It's led me to defend it against Christian fundamentalists - explaining to them the pure concepts of greater and lesser jihad, the classification of fasad for the breaking of jurisprudence... It's a shame that the main representatives of this religion (to the West) are those who do not actually follow the true original religion, but twist it to their own purposes. I guess Christianity must have some similar representatives, but being buried in a pro-christian culture, I'm unable to look at it like an outsider.
And don't worry; you type English better than some of my friends!

It was the Apo Mac hack, and I believe (from memory) the render time was about forty-five minutes. :) Thanks to a trick I learned from :iconplatinus: :) (I have but 2.1GHz, 2GB RAM...)
And thank you

:\ What version of OSX are you using? How long did you wait for it to start up? It can take anywhere up to 10 mins to start up.

Lately I have had a few pop up that were fractals for the sake of fractalling, more than actual pieces of art. This one was partly inspired by the contest, but was more so done for myself :) I'm also in a better mood - this one was done to [link] .
I was also thinking, or rather trying to guess, what you would submit to this contest :P
