About the Image:
The problem with the battle against paedophilia is that it has been found that victims are more likely to molest in later life - a cycle. Rooting it out is therefore very difficult.
The ultimate betrayal of a child is an abuse of the duty of care one has over them. Sexual abuse especially can be a life sentence for the child involved. Paedophilia in any society is far from rare, and one area of focus is the Church, where some few clergymen and priests have been known to break the duty of care towards the children they are meant to be guiding.
In this image we have a priest. The temptation is there... and the battleground is invisible, in his mind. Paedophiles unfortunately don't wander around with a notification on their forehead; the constant battle against the evil of paedophilia is in their mind, but they have all but lost.

I am not saying that all priests - or even most - are paedophiles. I am not trying to discriminate against Catholicism or Christianity either I am just using an example representation... I'm also not going to bring in the idea that the battle is between Satan (or "generic ultimate bad guy") and God/Allah/some ultimate good guy. Whoops, I guess I just did. I believe more in human nature with those...

Where did the image come from?
I was reading the journal of one one the people I watch and was inspired by an event in it . This issue has always been one of my bugbears, in fact paedophilia in general is probably my biggest bugbear of all time. You can probably tell some of my feelings about it from the above section .
And why the materials? I'm starting to like doing tht watercolour thing stuff. Mum does watercolour stuff - that's her genre of choice, so I've permanently borrowed her Schminke black (she makes her own blacks as required). Unfortunately, unlike the Rain entry, this was a late-night job, so I didn't get to ask to borrow proper paper and one of her good brushes. Ah well, SIL.

I'm not going to put a warning on this as I believe paedophilia is an issue of which all ages and cultures should be aware and actively fighting against.
