The black spaces work very well for the piece, emphasizing the sense of depth.
The sharp lines give an impressive effect, especially when separating colors.
Your use of a thin black border complements this piece rather well, and it is an impressive piece.
However, the largest "tree", in the southwest quadrant, is excessively bright and lacks the wonderful
contrast and depth of the rest of the fractal. Adjusting the flame brightness or gradient brightness
could resolve this one shortcoming.
